Webinar

Cross industries´ considerations and perspectives in response to the Air Traffic Management (ATM) community´s questions about resilience in the time of COVID 19?

Date: February 11, 2021
Time: 14-15:15pm CET / 08-09:15am Eastern Daylight Time (US)
Speakers: Alex Bristol, Nora Jones, David Porvan

This is the second webinar in the series of two which aims to ‘debuzzify’ the term resilience and help Air Traffic Management (ATM) practitioners increase the overall system resilience through sharing and exchange of good practices across various industries.

In the first webinar, “What can the REA community learn from ATM in dealing with COVID-19?”, we had the pleasure to host prestigious panellists from the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) and Danish Air Traffic Controllers Association (DATCA). The panellists discussed the good, the bad, and the ugly of ATM resilience management (within the wider aviation context) in light of COVID-19. In addition, the panellists shed light on practical research questions that, in their view, may help in bridging the gap between Resilience Engineering (RE) theory and practice.

Following the success of the first webinar, in the second webinar, we have managed to gather distinguished advocates and researchers in the Resilience Engineering (RE) field, to consider and discuss the questions raised in the first webinar from a cross-industry perspective.
