A thank you note from the Resilience Engineering Association and the Executive Committee.
For those of you who attended this year’s symposium at Mines Paris, you could not fail to note, all too often, a ‘blur’, an omnipotent presence. Busy, but never flustered outwardly. Always with a smile. Always, somehow, able to answer questions and quell uncertainties.
Who or what are these words referring to?
Eric Rigaud!
This year’s symposium had all the ingredients that make for a memorable symposium.
The venue, at Mines-Paris an ideal location to enjoy warm days inside as well as outside the meeting room. A programme that included online participation as well as the seventy or so people participating. Stimulating debate after papers were presented. Always in attendance Eric. Always on hand – the friendly demeanour and warm smile of Eric
It appeared to us that you achieved this single handed! But..
To you and the team you were working with, the numerous REA members who led sessions and facilitated, and others, thank you. Thank you, Eric, for all that you did for us to make this year’s REA symposium, stimulating, meaningful and memorable. What are you planning to do in the summer of 2025?
